As opposed to 20-foot containers, which can be shipped both empty and with a paying load, 10-foot containers can only be shipped because of the high expense of carrying them from factories in China. Therefore, most previously owned 10-foot containers are actually 20-footers that have been modified. Therefore, a 20ft container could be an option if you have the room for it.
